Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise is a popular American singer, writer and actress well known for her role as Ginger Grant in the 1960s TV show Gilligan's Island. In the 1950s, she began her acting career on stage for Bettle Davis' show Two's Company. Later, in 1956, she got her first big break on Broadway in Li'l Abner's musical. In the same year, she made her debut album, It's the Time for Tina. Louise was first introduced to Hollywood in the role of Griselda Walden on God's Big Acre a 1957 drama film. This film became a big hit and Louise even won the Golden Globe Award at the New Star of the Award category. While in New York, Louise enrolled in Actors Studio and began her relationships with Lee Strasberg. Another notable character she played in the role of Ginger Grant, which CBS hired her to play in the year 1964. Louise worked successfully in both Hollywood and Broadway in roles that were more serious that reflected her reputation as a glamour doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. The SG-1 series, as well as Helen Magnus on Sanctuary. In the last few years, she's also become a popular director for well-known television shows like Supernatural or The 100. Born in Essex Ontario, on the 27th August, 1965. Her family relocated to Toronto around the age of three. Her childhood was spent there as well as her adolescence. After being chosen in 1997 to play Samantha Carter she settled down in Vancouver and has lived in Vancouver ever since.
