Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American author and designer who has won numerous awards for her works. She has been a vocal advocate for human rights for animals. She has been acclaimed for her roles in films such as Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969) and The Getaway, (1972). She grew up in an artist family from New York and wanted to pursue a career in artistic fields. While working as assistant to photographers, she turned her attention to modeling and acting. Her first two movies she received recognition as a winner of an award called the Golden Globe Award as Most Popular Young Actress. MacGraw's 1970 film Love Story proved a major success and earned her international recognition and the Academy Award' nomination and the Golden Globe award. After just three short films she was deemed the most successful female in box office history. In 1972, the Grauman's Chinese Theater signed her name, hand-prints and foot prints in the year 1972. She also appeared in The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, along with other films. Her autobiography Moving Pictures was published in 1991. MacGraw is divorced three times.
